TealCRM has the ability to create two types of custom fields: Textbox and Dropdown.  You are able to create these custom fields on any of the Companies, People, Deals, Notes, Proposals, Tasks or Meetings modules.


Create New Field

To create a new field follow these steps:


  1. Select the module that you would like to see the custom field appear on from the drop down.
  2. The Field Name cannot contain any special characters or spaces and is to be used as an identifier.
  3. The Label Name is what you would like to see the custom field appear as inside of your records.
  4. Type is the field type of either Textbox or Dropdown.

After clicking on Save Changes the system will automatically refresh and you will now be able to go to the module that you created and find the newly created module.  

* You will need to either Edit or Add a record and populate information into the custom field before it will appear on the View section of your record.

Editing Existing Field


When editing an existing field, be careful!  To edit any of the custom fields that you have created for your TealCRM you will need to go to the Edit Existing Fields option inside of Custom Fields.  With Textboxes you can update the labels and with Dropdowns you add more Dropdown options, however be careful.


When adding options to your Dropdown's make sure to space out records by using comma's.  If you delete any of your previous options they will be deleted and removed from the system including all of your records.
