TealCRM has the ability to send email messages from within the People records inside of the system.  In order to do so you must Connect Email which is available through User Settings > Connect Email.



In order to setup email you will need to contact your email provider and obtain the following information:


  • User Name
  • Password
  • Imap Address
  • Encryption Type (if any)
  • Mail Server Port

You will need to input this information into the Connect Email screen.  When you click on Connect, the system will attempt to email you and if it can you will see a success message.  If there is a failure you will also be shown an error.

Gmail / Google Apps Users:
Due to Google's increased security levels, in order to use Gmail or Google Apps with this connector you will need to adjust your security settings.  You can read more information on Google's website here along with instructions to configure it to allow for IMAP connections.
